What kind of leader
do you want to be?

What qualities make a good leader?

  1. What THREE qualities are you currently strong in – write them down
  2. Choose THREE things you want to work on in 2019 – write them down
  3. Remember who you want to BE, determines what you should DO!
  4. Think about one SMALL thing you can do daily to help you grow in the three qualities you want to improve on this year. For example: if you want to take better care of yourself, spend 10 minutes each day doing what re-charges you. If you want to become more organized, make your bed each morning. If you want to be more empowering, delegate one small thing each day to someone else.

I feel like I’m a good planner, organized, and competent.
I want to be more empowering, more empathetic, and more inspirational!
Empowering: delegate small things each day – kids pick up their shoes (haha), send one “good job” text a day
Empathetic: when someone is talking to me about a problem (or even my kids), be more fully present to listen
Inspirational: listen to a podcast for 10 minutes each day on how to become more inspirational / what other leaders say about inspiration

I feel like I am empathic, motivated, organized.
I want to be more visionary, patient, and have better boundaries.
Visionary: Spend 30 mins a week to dream/plan for future goals.
Patient: Being aware of when that inpatient feeling creeps in… then choosing to be patience.
Boundaries: Turning off my phone at 8:30pm each night and not turning it back on until I finished my morning devotions with God.

I feel I am Compassionate, Flexible, Organized
I want to improve on: Self Care, Empowering, Innovative
Self Care – My word of the year is Linger (as in linger in God’s presence)- so daily I desire to get up earlier to read the Word/pray to get my head straight and in line with God. Weekly I gotta make it out snowboarding.
Empowering – Text 1 affirmation to a volunteer daily (I like that idea Julie) and I need to delegate small things on the weekend.
Innovative – Build 10 minutes a day of Whitespace, a chance to build upon creative ideas

Ok, just thought of another one that I need to do.
Bold – ask 3 new people (who aren’t serving) every weekend to serve in kids min
